Where has the time gone?

I leave in 11 days.  I am struggling to even utter that sentence because it is truly unbelievable to me.  I have spent the past 4 months living in Vienna and just like that I will soon be boarding a plane and departing from the life I made here.  It seems like such a strange concept; to move away from what you have known for so long.  We have already been invited to Reverse Culture Shock discussions held by our program.  My mom is already making dentist appointments for the not-so-far future.  We are beginning to pack our few belongings in our suitcases and say goodbye to what we have known.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m going back to my home, my family, and Wake Forest.  Saying that sentence makes a splitting smile appear on my face.  I just struggle with the concept of leaving.

It could be due to the fact that I may not be ready to leave.  I love to travel and will never grow tired of it.  But my friends seem to be packing their suitcases faster than I pack my own. With so many countries, cities, and experiences under our belt, some may be ready to return back to their lives in the states.  However, I want to see more.  I want even more experiences under my belt.  Time escapes you.  While I was lying in bed, time was passing by quickly.

11 days.
