A Food Guide to Austria

*the more I eat, the more this will be updated!*

  1. Om Nom Burger– very relaxed burger and fries joint, located in the 5th district
    1. eat it slowly, it will definitely be more fulfilling
  2. Le Bol– great cafe with relaxed vibes, delicious open-faced paninis and salads
    1. Their hot chocolate is absolutely delicious.  I also suggest the ham and cheese panini, it’s worth a shot to ask if they can heat it up.
    2. If you want something sweet, pair that hot chocolate with a chocolate filled croissant and you will be sent to Heaven.
  3. Henry- also known as Billa Corso- it is a fabulous place to pick up a quick grab-n-go lunch while studying
    1. Definitely try the African chicken.. it is marvelous and I can never get enough
    2. As peculiar as this sounds, the tiramisu is one of the creamiest desserts I have had the fortune to taste
  4. Restaurant Francesco- idyllic, little Italian restaurant near the Rathaus
    1. I know I was pretty lame and went with the margherita pizza, but if there is a must eat, it is the tomato soup!
    2. Oh and yet another place that creates the most delightful Tiramisu to grace your tastebuds
  5. Said the Butcher to the Cow- this place is magnificent for burgers and cheesecake
    1. If you look online at their menu, they specialize in burgers and gin (strange)
    2. If you’re a cheesecake fan, try out the oreo and pumpkin cheesecakes, you won’t be sorry
  6. Freshii- yes, it is a chain in the states but I have never had a bad Freshii experience
    1. It’s near the Hofburg palace
    2. Please try the salad bowls, they are massive and don’t skimp on dressing (a must in my book)
  7. Motto am Fluss- if you’re looking to treat yourself to something fancy, this is the place to go
    1. Menu changes consistently so I can’t provide you with my preferences
    2. If you end up going on a night when they’re serving the filet… order it!
