Today is a great day.
You may be thinking, “it’s just your standard Sunday afternoon, what could be so great?” Well, in exactly a day and a half, I will be embarking on my next adventure: studying abroad in Vienna, Austria for the next 4 months! As you can imagine, I have experienced a multitude of realizations with each day that nears my departure. With all of the research and preparation, I have realized that soon I will have to sacrifice Chickfila for wiener schnitzels, and I am not entirely sure how I feel about that yet..
In preparation for the adventures and *occasional* debauchery that will occur on this trip, I have decided to create my own blog and share it with all of you. And somehow you ended up here, so it’s your lucky day!
The next thing you might be thinking is “Who the heck is Marquis?” To all of my loyal fans, I would like to introduce Marquis de Lafayette, the traveling bobble-head dinosaur.

Marquis is already a classified world-traveler, as he just recently accompanied me on a month-long trip to New Zealand and Australia. Although he misses the koalas and kangaroos, he is ready to live the European lifestyle. Marquis serves as my writing inspiration, as he resembles a very important part of my childhood, which is why it only felt right to dedicate my blog to him.
As for now, we both wait anxiously as the clock ticks. It won’t be long before we are seated on yet another international flight and living the *nomadic* life!!
